Our ALMOND Wood chunks are great for smoking your food and give a  mild, sweetish & nutty flavour

Almond chunks are made from our natural almond wood, which are cut into small pieces approx 4-10cm. Almond wood is an extremely dense firewood that burns with a fantastic aroma and the density of the wood means that it burns much longer than most woods here in the UK.

Add some of the chunks along with your charcoal or simple use on their own for a 100% barbque. These chunks give a prolong wood smokin’ which gives you food a nutty, sweet flavour, it pairs with all meats.

To use our Almond smoking chunks, first soak them for at least 30 minutes. and be sure to let the wood drip dry for a few minutes before adding it to the fire. You want the wood to be moist, not dripping wet. Next add our Chunks to your coals or use on their own for that original wood BBQ with a prolonged wood smokin’.  They will infuse the food and enhance the flavours,

Chunks vs Chips?

Use our Almond chunks for smoking, rather than our Chips, to create a more intense smoky flavour. You’ll get more smoke throughout your cooking time without having to run out and add more every 30 minutes. Be sure to check whether your smoker can use wood chunks.
